A
parent committee of twelve compared Sunform with other methodologies
and concluded that Sunform was far superior.
Sunform is unique in that it is a learning process that teaches
beginning
reading-writing-spelling that once learned is used forever.
It is not a quick fix product.
Our
elementary reading specialist reports that since initiating
Sunform:
|
|
Letter
reversals have virtually been eliminated.
Reading Recovery services incoming students only.
The Reading Recovery students exit the program within 30 days.
Title I, which previously serviced students through fifth grade,
has been able to reduce this time table to the end of second
grade. |

|
| Our
district diagnostician reports: |
|
|
Learning
disabilities have been reduced.
Special education students are achieving at levels higher than
their IQ would indicate. |

My
first grade teachers report they are able to eliminate a number
of reading activities necessary prior to Sunform because so
many students enter first grade already knowing how to read
and write.
Teachers
report that their students would write all day if given the
opportunity.
This
year 73.7 percent or our
third graders scored in the top quartile
(between 76% & 99%) on the ISTEP.
"In
my sixteen years as a principle, I have never seen better
results."

"Your system is an essential tool in my classroom. If I
had to choose only one teaching material to teach my students to
read and write, I would have to choose Sunform. The success rate
of my students using Sunform is amazing!" - Deborah Berardi,
Kindergarten Teacher
Wauconda
District #18, Wauconda, Illinois
"Sunform Alphabet System came to my attention through a
research route...The system went beyond my expectations in solving
phonemic problems in our low-skilled students. Almost immediately,
student motor control and letter recognition accelerated."
- Dr. Janet Ring PH.D., Director of Curriculum
Chenoa
District #9, Chenoa, Illinois
"The methods used in the Sunform Alphabet System are supportive
techniques and strategies which may be effectively used by all primary
teachers to provide a sound foundation for any reading program."
- Sue Blume, First Grade Teacher
